Mia is certified by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) as an Alpine Level 1 Ski Instructor and as an Adaptive Level 1 Ski instructor. She is also a member of Disabled Sports USA.

She teaches Adaptive Skiing at the White Mountain Adaptive Snowsports School at Loon Mountain in Lincoln , New Hampshire. She also teaches adaptive skiing at Bretton Woods Mountain Resort Ski School, NH.

The idea for the initial Ski Wrap came from witnessing adaptive skiers' joy in the sport compromised by unnecessary discomfort. Staying warm due to poor limb circulation was a big issue for students, as well as staying dry when sitting in ski equipment close to the snow.

She brought her own imagination and expertise to address these challenges, sought the advice of other adaptive ski instructors, and engaged a fabric-savvy friend to help with the design. The result was the first of her innovative adaptive skiwear items, the Ski Wrap — a warm, weather-proof wrap enabling adaptive skiers to enjoy long, comfortable hours on the slopes.

"I believe everyone should have the opportunity to try to do whatever they can within reason. Outside on cold winter days, it gives me great joy to see men, women and children using my products so that they can be outside as long as they wish."
